Back to School

I returned to school a few weeks ago, and have been very busy catching up.  Additionally, the last two weeks we have had mid-term evaluations so needless to say, it has been a busy few weeks.  It is very exciting to see my collection take shape.  For the last few years we have been sketching collections without actually being able to make them and now that I get to see the clothes made it is really fun.  Of course some garments come out exactly as planned and others are much more difficult so I still have a lot of altering to get everything to where I want it to be, but the garments that come out right encourage me to correct the garments that don't.  

I would be caught up, except I have decided I absolutely have to redo my buttoned bodice. (see picture below) I had sewn many of the buttons on when I realized that I didn't like the shape I had cut the bodice in (I cut it right before I left for the hospital) I have since re-made the bodice but now have to begin all over again sewing the buttons, but that is part of the whole process, and I'll be happier in the end.
